A native of Latvia, Dr. Kristine Shportko moved to the US at the age of twenty-one. She worked for eight years as a dental assistant while going to college to become a dentist. In 2017 she graduated from New York University College of Dentistry and moved on to learn more in fixed and removable prosthetic treatment. In 2018, Dr. Kristine obtained her certificate from Brooklyn Veteran Affairs Hospital with emphasis on implant restorations, complex cases in crown and bridge and esthetic dentistry. Since then she has been working in the lower Westchester area. She was very excited when the opportunity to provide dental care for the Stamford community presented itself, and she is very excited about making Stamford her permanent home.
Dr. Kristine is passionate about creating harmony between function and esthetics. She is a member of the American Academy of General Dentistry and is planning on pursuing fellowship and eventually mastership to stay current with modern technology and to provide her patients with the best available treatments.
Together with her husband Dr. Andrii she is raising two children: Athena and Daniel. In her free time she loves to travel and explore new cultures. Dr. Kristine is a member of the American Dental Association. She speaks fluent Latvian, Russian, and English.
This office treats all patients regardless of their abilities or disabilities. We work with all insurances and reimbursement plans. We are a model office in coaching employers about Direct Reimbursement Plans as an alternative to conventional dental insurance. We also have the technical expertise to work with the newest Health Savings Accounts as well as the traditional Flexible Spending Accounts.
