Our Doctors

Dr. Getreuer came to Stamford, Connecticut in 1981. A graduate of Columbia University’s School of Dental and Oral Surgery, he completed a General Practice Residency at Lennox Hill Hospital in New York City. His first office was opened on Grove Street during Stamford’s urban renewal phase. A short two years later the office was moved to its present location on Morgan Street, CT.

A native of Latvia, Dr. Kristine Shportko moved to the US at the age of twenty-one. She worked for eight years as a dental assistant while going to college to become a dentist. In 2017 she graduated from New York University College of Dentistry and moved on to learn more in fixed and removable prosthetic treatment. In 2018, Dr. Kristine obtained her certificate from Brooklyn Veteran Affairs Hospital with emphasis on implant restorations, complex cases in crown and bridge and esthetic dentistry.

Ukrainian native, Dr. Andrii Shportko graduated from Midwestern University Dental College in Arizona in 2016. As a dental student he became proficient in digital dentistry, laser treatment, and clear aligner therapy. While still in dental college, he received certification in hard and soft tissue lasers, as well as became a provider for Invisalign. Dr. Andrii moved to New York in 2016.

Native of Puerto Rico, Dr. Lionel Vera graduated the University of Puerto Rico Dental College in 2014. After moving to New York City he completed 2 years of General Practice Residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center with emphasis in pediatric dentistry. Doctor Lionel is passionate about all the aspects of general dentistry but finds treating children the most rewarding part of being a dentist.
